You've got your program up and running, members are excited about your ambassador program, and now it's time to activate those members! With LoudCrowd's new challenge builder tool, you can easily mobilize program members to create consistent, high-value UGC that help drive sales and brand awareness.

What is a Challenge?

A call to create specific UGC that relates to a brand marketing campaign with the opportunity to earn special recognition and rewards.

How do Challenges Benefit my Marketing Efforts?

  • Members post more often if you inspire them with new prompts, excite them with new rewards, and motivate them with healthy competition.

  • Drive sales and brand awareness: Challenges are a fun way to engage your social community around marketing campaigns

Need Some Ideas for Types of Challenges you can try?

  • New Product Drop: Feature new product you’re marketing, gift members new product in advance, or reward them with it afterwards.

  • Special Events: Post in anticipation of, and during an event. Holiday events generate a huge amount of organic content- Use it!

  • Existing Social Trends: Get members to tag you in the trends they’re participating in, raising brand awareness within your target buyer communities.

  • Pair With Marketing Calendar: These calendars typically detail campaigns brands plan to run, promotions and sales scheduled to go live, product launches, holidays, etc. By pairing UGC with your marketing calendar, you will yield increased engagement, brand awareness, organic content, etc., and have all your challenges planned out in advance!

General Best Practices

How Long Should a Challenge Run?

  • Challenge duration is completely customizable, but we've seen the best results with challenges that last between 2-3 weeks.

Challenge Hashtags vs. Caption Keywords?

  • Challenge Hashtags are a required hashtag that must be included on every submission in order for program members to be able to participate. Challenge hashtags need to be different from any existing program hashtag(s).

  • Caption Keywords are keywords that may appear in Instagram & TikTok captions. Challenge Caption Keywords are used to search program member's UGC that qualify for any challenge(s) currently running.
