How Tremendous and LoudCrowd Work Together

What Tremendous does, how it connects to LoudCrowd, where to set up your Tremendous campaign, and how to send flat fee payments.

Written by Customer Success

What Tremendous is

Tremendous is LoudCrowd's payments partner. It is how money reaches your creators: commission payouts, rewards and flat fee payments.

Your Tremendous account holds the funds. LoudCrowd works out who is owed what and tells Tremendous to send it. Tremendous then sends each creator a payment link by email or text, and the creator chooses how to receive the money.

Creators do not need a Tremendous account, and they don't add bank details in advance. They pick how to get paid when they open the link.

How Tremendous connects to LoudCrowd

Your Client Strategist usually sets up your Tremendous account and connects it to LoudCrowd during onboarding. You can see the connection under Integrations, in the Outbound section, listed as Tremendous with your organization name.

The connection signs in with your Tremendous login. There is no API key to copy. LoudCrowd pays from your Tremendous account balance automatically.

Setting up your Tremendous campaign

A Tremendous campaign is the template behind every payment. It controls what the creator sees: your logo and colors, the email or text that carries the payment link, and the payout options on offer, such as bank transfer, PayPal, Venmo or gift cards.

LoudCrowd decides who to pay and how much. Your Tremendous campaign decides how the payment looks and how it can be redeemed.

Step 1: Create or edit the campaign in Tremendous

If your Client Strategist set up your account, you already have a campaign template called Affiliate Commissions.

  1. In Tremendous, open the Campaign Templates tab

  2. To brand an existing campaign, click Actions, then Edit webpage and Edit email. Add your logo, colors and brand name

  3. To make a new campaign, click Create, choose the payout options creators can pick from, and save

Tremendous only shows creators the payout options available in their country.

Step 2: Choose the campaign in LoudCrowd

What you're paying

Where to choose the Tremendous campaign

Program commissions

Programs › your program › Settings › Tremendous Payout Settings. Pick your Tremendous Integration, then your Commission campaign, and click Save

Rewards and flat fees

Rewards › Add Reward › Campaign Name

Make sure Automate commissions payment is on. It sits under Commissions Settings in the same Settings tab. If it is off, or no Commission campaign is selected, LoudCrowd marks each month's commissions as Paid without sending anything through Tremendous. Your team would then need to pay creators another way.

Funding your Tremendous account

Every payment comes out of your Tremendous balance, along with Tremendous's fees. Keep enough in it to cover each month's commissions and any rewards or flat fees you send.

To add funds, click Add Funds on your Tremendous home screen, or go to Billing › Account Balance. For funding methods and how quickly each one clears, see How to Set Up Tremendous to Pay Commissions.

Your account Owner receives these emails about commission payouts:

How commission payouts work

Commission payouts run on the 1st of every month at 12 AM UTC. The standardized payout date can't be changed. What you control is the Wait Time to Mark Orders as Approved for Commissions in your program's Settings tab. It gives returns and cancellations time to come through before an order is paid.

Example. With a 30-day wait time, an order placed on January 10 is approved on February 9 and paid out on March 1.

Minimum payout

$5. Anything less rolls over into the next month

Maximum per payment link

$2,000. Larger payouts arrive as several links on the same day. Some accounts have a higher limit

How creators are paid

By email from Tremendous, or by text if the creator has no email on file

Currency

Sent in your program's currency

Sending flat fee payments

Use a flat fee payment when you pay a creator a set amount outside of commission, for example for a sponsored post, a content shoot or an event appearance.

In LoudCrowd, a flat fee is set up as a reward with Tremendous as the Reward Method and the fee as its value. You set it up once, then send it to any creator.

Set up the flat fee

  1. Go to Rewards and click Add Reward

  2. Enter a Reward Name your team will recognize, such as Flat fee $250

  3. Set Reward Method to your Tremendous integration

  4. Set Delivery Method to Email

  5. Choose the Currency and enter the Value as a whole number

  6. Under Campaign Name, choose the Tremendous campaign the creator should see

  7. Click Save

Create a separate Tremendous campaign for flat fees, such as Creator Payments, so the payment email doesn't describe the fee as a commission.

Send the flat fee

  • To one creator: go to Customers, open the creator and click Send Gift. Choose Configured Rewards and click Send next to the flat fee

  • To several program members: go to Programs › your program › Members, select the creators and click Send Reward. Choose Configured Rewards and click Send

The payment goes to Tremendous straight away, and the creator receives their payment link.

Amount

Each reward is a fixed amount. To pay a different amount, add another reward

Funding

Flat fees come out of the same Tremendous balance as commissions. LoudCrowd doesn't check the balance before sending, so make sure you're funded first

Who can set it up

Only account Owners can add rewards

Tracking

Your Tremendous dashboard shows every payment and its status

Paying directly from Tremendous. You can also send a payment straight from your Tremendous dashboard. It reaches the creator the same way, but LoudCrowd has no record of it.
