When a user wants to get rid of affiliate codes in bulk, they have an option to delete the codes or expire the codes. In this article, we will articulate each case.

Deleting Affiliate Codes

Deleting a code completely removes the code from the eCommerce system. This means that:

1) The discount with the code will no longer work.

2) The code will no longer be visible in the back-end of the eCommerce system.

A history of the code's usage will still be available in two places:

1) The LoudCrowd platform

2) In the eCommerce system, you should still be able to filter orders by which code was used at checkout.

We recommend deleting codes when you would like to apply that code to a different person, or in another system. Deleting it will free it up to be added again.

Expiring Affiliate Codes

Expiring a code completely de-activates a code from the eCommerce system. This means that:

1) The discount with the code will no longer work.

2) The code will still be visible in the eCommerce system. It will just not work.

We recommend expiring codes when you intend to re-activate the codes at some point.
