Reward your program members with LoyaltyLion points. LoudCrowd triggers the reward, and LoyaltyLion awards the points.
How it works
A LoyaltyLion reward in LoudCrowd stores an Event ID, not a points amount. When the reward is sent, LoudCrowd passes the Event ID and the member's email to LoyaltyLion. LoyaltyLion then awards the points set on the custom rule with the matching Identifier.
This means the points amount is always set and changed in LoyaltyLion.
Step 1: Find your LoyaltyLion keys
Log in to LoyaltyLion.
Go to Manage.
Under Configuration, select Settings.
Scroll down and copy your Token and Secret.
Step 2: Connect LoyaltyLion to LoudCrowd
Log in to LoudCrowd and go to Integrations.
Under Outbound, click Add Integration.
Select Loyalty Lion.
Enter your LoyaltyLion Token under API Key and your LoyaltyLion Secret under API Secret.
Click Save.
Step 3: Create the reward in LoudCrowd
Go to Settings > Rewards and click Add Reward.
Enter a Reward Name (for example, 100 Points) and select Loyalty Lion as the delivery method.
Enter an Event ID. Use lowercase letters and underscores only, with no numbers, capitals, spaces or hyphens.
Click Save.
Example. For a 100 point reward, use loudcrowd_one_hundred_points, not loudcrowd_100points.
Step 4: Create the matching rule in LoyaltyLion
In LoyaltyLion, go to Manage.
Go to Activity Rules and create a new rule.
Select Custom Rule.
Under Identifier, enter the exact Event ID from your LoudCrowd reward.
Enter the number of points to award.
Set Approval Method to Immediate.
Optional: set a limit on how many times the rule can be completed.
Under Display, add the title and notification members see in your LoyaltyLion widget.
Optional: the Description field accepts HTML, so you can link to your program's landing page here.
Click Create Rule. The rule appears on your loyalty page or widget within a few seconds.
Change the points for an existing reward
Update the rule in LoyaltyLion. You don't need to change anything in LoudCrowd.
In LoyaltyLion, go to Manage > Activity Rules.
Open the custom rule whose Identifier matches your reward's Event ID.
Change the points and save.
To offer more than one amount at the same time, create a separate reward in LoudCrowd and a separate custom rule in LoyaltyLion for each amount, each with its own Event ID.
If points aren't showing up
The Event ID in LoudCrowd and the Identifier in LoyaltyLion don't match exactly. Check for typos and extra spaces.
The Identifier contains numbers, capitals, spaces or hyphens. LoyaltyLion only accepts lowercase letters and underscores.
The rule's Approval Method isn't set to Immediate, so points are waiting for approval.
The member has already hit the rule's completion limit.
The member's email in LoyaltyLion is different from the email on their LoudCrowd profile. Points are matched by email.
The Token or Secret was entered in the wrong field. Re-check Step 2.
