LoudCrowd will NEVER post, comment, or engage with any customers on your behalf. We simply pull data from Facebook, and are a back-end service for your Page.

To pull in your tags, mentions, and stories, we need ALL of the following Facebook Permissions.

  • Receive your email address

    • Explanation - Standard Facebook permission to manage identity. We will not email your Facebook email, only your work email

  • Access profile and posts from the Instagram account connected to your page.

    • Explanation - Standard "Manage Instagram" permission.

  • Manage comments for the Instagram account connected to your page

    • Explanation - This is the required permission to access the content you are tagged in on Instagram (including tags + mentions on Instagram). Instagram buckets tags + mentions in the comments category. We will NEVER comment on your behalf.

  • Access insights for the Instagram Account connected to your Page.

    • Explanation - Same as earlier, this is the standard "Manage Instagram" permission.

  • Show a list of Pages you Manage

    • Explanation - This is literally just required to connect your Facebook Page with your Instagram Account in this sign-up process. LoudCrowd does not pull any data from your Facebook account.

  • Manage and access messages for the Instagram account connected to your page.

    • Explanation - This gives LoudCrowd the ability to pull Instagram Stories on your behalf. Facebook considers Stories a type of message (which is why they show up in your DMs).

  • Read Content Posted on the Page

    • Explanation - Like earlier, this is for the sign-up process. LoudCrowd does not pull any data from your Facebook account.

  • Manage accounts, settings, and webhooks for a page

    • Explanation - We need this to pull in caption mentions specifically. Caption mentions come in through "webhooks" (unlike tags).

  • Read user content on your page

    • Explanation - We use this ability to look up who is tagging you, when they tag you. For instance, we can pull in a user's follower count when they tag you in content.
