Affiliate Tips to Share With Your Creators

How to set your creators up to sell, plus ready-to-share tips you can copy into creator emails, briefs or newsletters.

Written by Customer Success

Many creators join an affiliate program but don't share their links in a way that drives sales. Creators sell best when they know your brand, feel connected to it, and have a few simple selling habits.

Set your creators up to sell

Give them talking points

Creators need to be true advocates, not just link sharers. Tell them your brand story, your hero products and why customers love them, the details customers ask about most (fit, materials, ingredients, results), and what's coming so they can plan content around launches and sales.

Create a creator guide

Put your talking points, content inspiration, sample captions and talk tracks in one place. Include how their link, code, discount or storefront works, plus any dos and don'ts and disclosure requirements.

Host a live affiliate call

Walk creators through upcoming launches, share what's selling and answer questions live. Record it for anyone who can't attend.

Reach out individually

Check in with new creators after they join, and reach out to creators who haven't posted yet with an idea or product to start with.

Share what's working

Show examples of posts that drove sales, share your best sellers, and celebrate top creators in your newsletter or community. Recognition motivates the rest.

Give them a head start

Send product ahead of campaigns so content is authentic and ready before launch. Share campaign dates, discount details and assets a week or two early. Creators can't build urgency for a sale they hear about the day it starts.

Build a community

A group chat, Facebook group or Discord gives creators a place to share ideas, ask questions and stay excited about your brand.

Think like a seller

  • Be specific. "I love this sweater" is nice. "It runs big, so I sized down" sells.

  • Make it easy. Every time you show a product, give followers a way to shop it.

  • Share more than once. Most followers won't buy the first time they see something.

  • Link to the product. Send followers straight to what you're featuring, and add a link sticker to every Story with a product on screen.

  • Show it in use. Try-ons, hauls, demos and unboxings show how a product fits into your life.

  • Share real details. Tell followers what size you got or how it holds up. This answers the questions that stop people from buying.

  • Get followers involved. Run a poll between two products, or answer DM questions in a Story with your link.

Drive urgency

  • Post across the campaign. Share early, follow up with another moment, then post a last-chance reminder.

  • Add a countdown. Use a countdown sticker for sales and limited offers.

  • Remind followers how to shop. Point to your link, code or storefront in every post.

If you have a discount

  • Codes: say it out loud, add it as a text overlay, and put it in your caption and a pinned comment.

  • Automatic discounts: call out the savings and let followers know it applies at checkout when they shop your link, no code needed.

If there's no discount

  • Share your honest reason. What it solves, why you keep reaching for it, or what made you pick it.

  • Lean on timing. Launches, restocks and seasonal moments give followers a reason to shop now.

If you have a storefront

  • Build themed collections. Group products around a moment or need, like a seasonal edit, gift guide or daily routine. Add a wishlist of pieces you're eyeing.

  • Screen record your storefront. Share a quick scroll through your picks in Stories.

  • Keep it fresh. Update collections when you post new content so your storefront matches what followers just saw.

End on encouragement

Creators who feel supported post more and sell more! Remind them they don't need a huge following or perfect content to drive sales. Encourage them to start with one product they love and one post, then celebrate their first sale with them.
