Rights are the gate. Creator GEO will only ever publish a clip you have granted rights to — no exceptions, no automatic decisions. Until you grant, nothing about a clip can go live.
Rights are yes or no
There is no partial state. A clip is either cleared for publishing or it isn't. Creator GEO does not track licence windows, territories, or expiry dates — a grant is simply you saying "we are allowed to publish this."
That means the accuracy of the answer is yours. When you grant rights, you are asserting that you have the creator's permission to republish their content on your own site. If you are unsure whether you have it, don't grant it.
Granting rights
Go to Content, where every clip Creator GEO has pulled from Instagram is listed — posts you were tagged in, posts mentioning you, and your own.
One clip: open it and grant in a single click.
Many at once: select several and grant in bulk. This is the fast path if you already have blanket permission from a creator programme.
The tabs across the top — All, Rights granted, Saved, Used — let you see what is cleared and what is already working for you.
Why you'll see content you can't publish yet
Creator GEO matches content to questions without looking at rights. That is deliberate, and it is one of the more useful things it does.
It means the system will tell you: this clip is the best answer to a question your shoppers are asking, and you don't have rights to it yet. That's not a dead end — it's a worklist. Those are the specific creators worth going back to, with a specific reason to ask.
If rights filtered the matching, you would never learn what you were missing.
Saving and hiding
Saved is a bookmark for you. Shortlisting a clip organises your own work and nothing more — it never signals to the engine that a clip is better or should be used sooner.
Hiding a clip clears it out of your view without destroying anything. It's recoverable, so you can hide aggressively to cut down noise.
If a creator changes their mind
If a creator withdraws permission after you've published, retire the page. It comes down immediately and search engines are told. Removing the rights grant on its own does not pull a published page down — retiring is the action that does.
