Applicable emails
Branding settings apply to:
Emails sent from the LoudCrowd platform — any email you compose from anywhere in LoudCrowd app.
Email templates managed in LoudCrowd — for example, automated Welcome and Invite emails set up and sent through LoudCrowd app in the Messages tab.
These settings do not apply to:
Klaviyo managed emails — those emails are designed and sent by Klaviyo, so all branding (sender, logo, colors, footer) is configured in Klaviyo.
Hub Inbox messages — these appear inside the creator's hub, not as email, and don't use these settings.
Settings are account-wide. Every Email-channel broadcast and every template email on your account inherits the same branding.
What's in an email
A branded email contains, top to bottom:
Your logo (centered, max 200px wide), if uploaded.
The subject of the broadcast.
The body of the broadcast, rendered in your font color on your background color.
A footer: "Sent by [your program name] via LoudCrowd".
Where to find settings
In the LoudCrowd admin app, go to Messages, then click the Email Branding tab.
Available custom settings
The following is a list of available brand customizations. All of them are optional. The LoudCrowd platform will send emails automatically even if you change none of these settings.
Set a custom From address
By default, all broadcast emails go out from [email protected]. You can set a custom From address to send from your own brand domain (e.g. [email protected]).
Follow these steps in the LoudCrowd app:
In the Sending Domains section, click Add Domain.
Enter the domain (or subdomain) you want to send from — for example
mail.yourbrand.com.LoudCrowd will create the authentication record and display a table of DNS records (Type, Host, Value).
The display name shown next to the From address is the program name of the broadcast (e.g. "Acme Ambassadors"), not the account name. So recipients see something like:
Acme Ambassadors <[email protected]>
To change the name shown, rename the program the broadcast is being sent from.
Next, add the DNS records at your DNS provider:
Copy each DNS record. There's a copy-to-clipboard button — it copies tab-separated values you can paste straight into a spreadsheet.
In your DNS provider, add each record exactly as shown.
These are typically CNAME records.
Do not change the Host or Value — paste them verbatim.
If your DNS provider auto-appends your domain to the Host, paste only the subdomain portion (e.g.
s1._domainkeyinstead ofs1._domainkey.mail.yourbrand.com).
Save the records and wait for DNS propagation. This usually takes a few minutes but can take up to 48 hours.
Finally, verify in the LoudCrowd app.
Back in LoudCrowd, click Verify next to the domain.
If all DNS records resolve correctly, the status flips to Verified.
If verification fails, double-check each record at your DNS provider, wait 10–30 minutes, and try again.
You can add multiple sending domains if you operate multiple brands from one account.
Once a domain is Verified:
In the From Email field, type the address you want broadcasts to come from — any local part on a verified domain (e.g.
[email protected],[email protected]).Save.
Rules:
LoudCrowd will not let you save a From address whose domain isn't verified.
If you later delete a verified domain that your From address depended on, the From address is cleared automatically and broadcasts revert to [email protected] until you set a new one.
Upload a logo
In the Logo section, drag-and-drop or click to upload.
Format: any common image format works. We recommend SVG (vector, stays crisp at any size) or a high-resolution PNG.
Aspect ratio: the image should be at least twice as wide as it is tall — a landscape wordmark works best.
Display size: the logo is centered at the top of the email and capped at 200px wide. For raster formats (PNG, JPG), upload at 2× (≈400px wide) so it stays sharp on retina screens.
Leave the logo empty to send emails without one — the layout simply omits the logo block.
Pick your brand colors
Two color fields, both hex pickers:
Font color — applied to subject and body text. Default
#333333(near-black).Background color — applied to the page background of the email. Default
#ffffff(white).
Tips:
Make sure font color and background color have strong contrast — the test email is the quickest way to sanity-check this.
Some email clients (notably Gmail and Apple Mail in dark mode) may override background colors. If you go non-white, send a test and check it in Gmail, Apple Mail, and Outlook.
Body text renders in Arial for maximum compatibility across email clients.
Send a test email
Above the form, click Send Test Email.
The test is sent to the email address on your logged-in user — not to a creator.
You can use the test after every change.
The test uses your account name in place of a real program name in the footer.
FAQ
Q: I added my domain but it's stuck on "Pending" / verification keeps failing.
DNS propagation can take up to 48 hours, though most providers are much faster. Recheck the records at your DNS provider character-by-character — the most common issue is an extra . at the end of the Host, or your DNS provider auto-appending the domain. If still pending after 48 hours, contact CS.
Q: I set a custom From email but emails are still coming from [email protected].
Check that the domain is Verified (not just Pending) and that the From Email field is saved. If you recently deleted a sending domain, the From email may have been cleared.
Q: My broadcast went out via Klaviyo and none of this branding applied.
That's expected. Klaviyo managed emails are designed and sent by Klaviyo — configure the branding for those inside your Klaviyo account.
Q: Can I preview a specific broadcast before it sends?
Use Send Test Email on the Email Branding page to preview the branding shell (logo, colors, From name). Per-broadcast content preview happens in the broadcast composer.
Q: Where do replies go?
Replies go to the address you set as From Email. Pick an inbox your team monitors.
Q: My logo looks fuzzy.
Upload at 2× resolution (≈400px wide), or use SVG.
