Setup AWIN Sub-affiliate Integration
In this document you will learn how to connect your AWIN program with LoudCrowd so that your creators get trackable AWIN links and discount codes. Orders driven through these links are attributed in AWIN and flow into LoudCrowd for creator-level reporting and payouts.
How it works:
A creator joins your program through LoudCrowd
LoudCrowd sends them a welcome email with their personalized AWIN tracking link and discount code
The creator shares their link and code
When a customer purchases, AWIN's cross-publisher attribution rules determine which publisher gets credit
AWIN reports the transaction and commission amount back to LoudCrowd
LoudCrowd calculates each creator's payout and handles payment
What you manage in AWIN:
Commission rates (set in AWIN's Commission by ClickRef rules)
Discount code protection (Voucher Attribution settings)
Measure overall affiliate program performance across all your publishers
What you manage in LoudCrowd:
Creator onboarding, welcome emails
Link and code generation
Creator payouts
Creator-level analytics in the brand app
Where creators go:
The Creator Hub to see their stats, orders, product performance, and earnings.
Step 1: Approve LoudCrowd as a Publisher in AWIN
In your AWIN advertiser dashboard:
Navigate to Partner Management
Search for LoudCrowd in the publisher directory
Approve LoudCrowd as a publisher in your program
Step 2: Configure Commission Rates in AWIN
If all your creators earn the same commission rate, you can set a single rate in your AWIN program settings β no extra configuration needed.
If your creators earn different commission rates based on their tier in LoudCrowd (e.g., Standard creators earn 5%, VIP creators earn 20%), you'll need to set up
Commission by ClickRef rules in AWIN:
In your AWIN advertiser dashboard, navigate to Commission > Commission by ClickRef
Create one rule per commission tier in your LoudCrowd program. Your LoudCrowd account manager will provide the clickref values that correspond to each tier.
Set the commission rate for each rule to match the tier's rate
For example:
ClickRef Value | LoudCrowd Tier | Commission Rate |
| Standard | 10% |
| VIP | 20% |
Step 3: Set Up Discount Code Protection (Voucher Attribution)
This step ensures that when a creator's discount code is used, AWIN credits the sale to your creator β even if the shopper originally clicked a link from a coupon site.
In your AWIN advertiser dashboard, navigate to Voucher Attribution (under Commission settings)
Register a discount code prefix (e.g.,
LC-*), assigned exclusively to LoudCrowd as the publisherAny discount code matching this prefix will be attributed to LoudCrowd
LoudCrowd will automatically prepend this prefix to all creator discount codes going forward (e.g., LC-MARGARET20).
Note: This is a one-time setup. Once the prefix is registered, all new creator codes are automatically covered. Your LoudCrowd account manager will confirm the prefix during onboarding.
Step 4: Create the AWIN Integration in LoudCrowd
In the LoudCrowd brand app, navigate to Affiliate Programs > Add Integration
Select AWIN Subaffiliate from the integration options
Enter your AWIN Advertiser ID and click Save
How to find your AWIN Advertiser ID:
In your AWIN advertiser dashboard, your Advertiser ID is displayed in the top navigation bar or under Account > Overview.
Step 5: Link to Your Program
Go to your Program Settings in LoudCrowd
Under Source Integration, select your newly created AWIN sub-affiliate integration
Click Save
Step 6: Confirm Setup
Once linked, LoudCrowd will automatically:
Generate AWIN tracking links for new and existing creators
Prepend the discount code prefix to creator codes
Begin importing orders and commissions from AWIN
You can verify the integration is working by:
Checking that a creator's tracking link in the LoudCrowd brand app resolves to an AWIN redirect
Clicking a test link and confirming the click appears in your AWIN dashboard
Creator FAQ
Q: We are transitioning LoudCrowd affiliate links to AWIN links. What do my creators need to know?
β
When transitioning from a non-AWIN setup, let your creators know:
Tracking links: They'll receive updated links in the hub. If they have old links posted in bios or content, they should swap them for the new ones. (If your program uses LoudCrowd's shortened links, no action is needed β the short links update automatically.)
Discount codes: Their codes may have a short prefix added (e.g.,
LC-MARGARET20). The code still works the same way at checkout.Everything else stays the same: The hub, stats, product performance, and payouts all work exactly as before.
