Any time you want to send program-wide comms to your creators, use LoudCrowd's Messages tab to create and schedule-send email flows from your ESP. Triggering a message via this feature will ensure that an email is sent to all members of the selected program(s), regardless of how many creators you have. Follow the steps below to get started!
Step 1: Create Message via Email Service Provider
Navigate to the Messages tab in LoudCrowd, click the "Create Message" dropdown, and select "Email Service Provider Message".
Fill out the following fields:
Message name: Internally name your message (e.g. "Program Announcement").
Message integration: Select the Klaviyo integration that will be used to create and deliver the flow.
Message event ID: Designate an event ID that will be used to trigger the flow in Klaviyo (e.g. LC_ProgramAnnouncement). Once you click "Save", this event ID will automatically be sent to Klaviyo as an API trigger that you can use to create the flow if it does not already exist.
Email properties (optional): Use these properties in the template editor of your email service provider to include personalized information for a specific recipient. Links to your ecomm site (e.g. www.brand.com/collection) will automatically log a creator into their Storefront and Creator Widget to add products to their storefront. If "Property Value" is designated with a URL, use the dynamic property {{customEcommUrl}} to pull that pre-auth'd URL into the email.
Select message recipients: Select the program(s) that you wish to send the message to
Schedule your message to send: Choose a date and time that you want to send your message, and click "Schedule message". If you want to send the message right away, keep the date and time as the current time before clicking "Schedule message". Messages will send every half-hour.
Click "Save" to schedule-send the message.
Step 2: Set Up the Email Flow in Klaviyo
Once you have filled out the necessary fields and clicked "Save", make sure you create a flow in Klaviyo triggered by the designated event ID (e.g. LC_Comms).
Create or edit your existing email for your message, including subject line, preview text, and the email template.
Note: If you intend to use this flow for recurring messages (e.g. newsletter, general announcement), you can simply edit the existing template in this flow each time you plan to send the email.
Make sure the email/flow is turned "Live" once you finish to ensure that it delivers once triggered from LoudCrowd.
You're all set!
Once you've completed the above steps, your message will send out at the designated time. You can reschedule your message and view send history by clicking "Schedule" on the message block at any time.
